French September Consumer Spending Misses Forecasts

The FINANCIAL — French consumer spending was flat in September for the second month in a row, French statistics agency Insee said on October 30, below forecasts that it would increase 0.3% from August, according to Nasdaq.

French consumer spending was up 2.6% compared with last September.

Insee revised the consumer spending figure for August to show a 0.1% rise after it was previously reported to be unchanged.
