The FINANCIAL — Gary Rhodes will open his fourth overseas restaurant with the launch of Rhodes 44 at the St Regis Abu Dhabi this summer.
According to Caterer and Hotelkeeper, Rhodes 44 will offer the Michelin-starred chef's signature cuisine with Arabic influences. It will be the third overseas venture by Rhodes in collaboration with Starwood Hotels & Resorts within the United Arab Emirates – he already operates Rhodes Mezzanine at the Grosvenor House and Rhodes Twenty10 at Le Royal Méridien, both in Dubai.
Rhodes also runs Rhodes at the Calabash on the Caribbean island of Grenada.
"We're very much looking forward to opening up such an exciting restaurant within the new St Regis Hotel in Abu Dhabi," Rhodes told Caterer and Hotelkeeper. "The UAE is becoming such a central culinary point in the world with so many great chefs and great food on offer. We feel privileged to be a part of what's happening."
Located in the Nation Towers development on the Corniche in the centre of Abu Chabi, the 283-bedroom St Regis Abu Dhabi is due to open on 1 May.
As well as his overseas ventures, Rhodes has three restaurants in London – Rhodes Twenty Four and Rhodes W1 Restaurant, both which have a Michelin star, as well as Rhodes W1 Brasserie. He has plans to open a fourth UK restaurant in the summer with the launch of Rhodes West, a 100-seat bar and brasserie, in Plymouth.
