The FINANCIAL — According to abc.az., the foreign contractors for development at Shah Deniz (the partnership of the same name) gas condensate field have liquidated the consequences of stoppage of gas supplies via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (South Caucasus Pipeline; SCP) pipeline. BP Azerbaijan is technical operator of these projects.
BP Azerbaijan informs that at present gas production on 4 acting development wells of Shah Deniz field is conducted in normal mode.
Stoppage of operating activity meant in practice reduction of production of oil at ACG and gas at Shah Deniz and ceasing of oil and gas pumping into the above-mentioned pipelines. At the same time consumers could receive hydrocarbons that have been pumped into the pipelines before their operation halting.
In July daily oil production at ACG exceeded 905,000 bpd and was diminished after August 6 following the fire on Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. Gas production at Shah Deniz in July reached 25 million cu m of gas and 48,800 tons of condensate.
SCP’s capacity reached 8 bn cu m with possible increase of up to 16-22 bn cu m a year.
