The FINANCIAL — “We are committed to further contribute to economic growth between Georgia and Brazil that will ensure stabile development and peace. We want to create a framework opening up greater opportunities for business to develop new projects” – Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze said during the joint press conference following his meeting with the Brazilian foreign minister Aloysio Nunes Ferreira.
Highlighting the importance of sectoral co-operation between the two countries, Mikheil Janelidze referred to the Brazilian Foreign Minister’s first visit to Georgia as historic, according to MFA of Georgia.
He paid special attention to the growing potential of bilateral relations in the areas of trade and investments. In this context he underlined the importance of the Brazilian trade delegation’s upcoming visit to Georgia, which, according to the Minister, will identify new opportunities of carrying out various business projects.
Mikheil Janelidze also spoke about the importance of people-to-people contacts and prospects for the development of relations in such spheres as agriculture, phytosanitary service, sport and cinema. He singled out for special mention the growing level of co-operation in the area of education to which attests the number of Brazilian students attending Georgian universities.
The Georgian Vice Prime Minister thanked Aloysio Nunes Ferreira for Brazil’s support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
