The FINANCIAL — “Georgia and other Associated partners are at the frontline of a severe aggression directed towards the EU. Eastern Partnership – as a strategic dimension of the European Neighbourhood Policy – is a key contributor to stability, political transformation and economic development in the region.”- the Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze said about this when speaking before the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament.
He spoke about the importance of the decision to grant the visa-free regime to Georgian citizens and conveyed his gratitude to the European Parliament for its support in Georgia’s visa-liberalization process. According to the Minister Georgia deployed all possible mechanisms to mitigate any possible side effect of a visa free regime, and a comprehensive information campaign is still ongoing in Georgia – explaining to our citizens their rights and obligations, according to MFA of Georgia.
According to the Minister, “Eastern Partnership Summits should give us a clear political vision and define goals for future actions, as the sense of confidence derives not only from the practical achievements”.
