The FINANCIAL — At a meeting with media representatives, Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze has spoken about the Ministry’s international efforts over the past year and its priorities for the next year.
The Minister has assessed the year 2016 as highly successful emphasizing that “the Georgian Government has succeeded to implement the Visa Liberalization Action Plan in record time, after which it was unanimously recognized as the only reliable and stable partner for Europe in the region”.
Mikheil Janelidze highlighted the results achieved in terms of ensuring Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, visa liberalization as well as its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Minister also paid special attention to bilateral and multilateral diplomacy with Georgia’s strategic partners, steps taken towards economic and cultural diplomacy and other important achievements.
The meeting was followed by a Q&A session with media representatives. Mikheil Janelidze expressed his readiness to continue co-operation in this format, thanked journalists for participation and congratulated them for the upcoming New Year/Christmas, according to MFA of Georgia.
The Foreign Minister’s meeting with media representatives was held at the Information Center on NATO and EU.
