The FINANCIAL — A regional conference on improving women’s access to justice in the Eastern Partnership will be held in Georgia on 5-6 November to promote and debate issues related to women’s access to justice.
The conference is organised in the framework of the 3-year EU/Council of Europe project on ‘Improving women’s access to justice in five Eastern Partnership countries’, and seeks to contribute to the implementation of the CoE’s Gender Equality Strategy, according to EU Neighbourhood Info.
The first day will focus on the findings of five studies on barriers, remedies and good practices for women’s access to justice.
The second day, representatives of institutions mandated to provide training to judges, prosecutors and other legal professionals will hold a seminar devoted the development of training materials on women’s rights, with a focus on equal access of women to justice.
