The FINANCIAL — The European Commissioner thanked the Georgian government for fruitful co-opertaion, including in terms of implementing the visa-liberalisation regime. He also highly appraised Georgia-EU co-opertaion in the development of transit links.
Johannes Hahn highlighted the importance of the European School for the Eastern Partnership due to be launched in Tbilisi.
“The establishement of the first Europan school is Georgia it is the first European school outside the European Union it is dedicated to multilinguism, it is dedicated to provide training expertise to yopung people in the area of European values European history and I would like tu use this opportunity to thank both you team my team for all the work we have invested it is investment in the future, therefore we will continue to invest in education I very much appreacate your contribtion to education and the fact that innovation is one of the key areas and the focus of the new government” – Johannes Hahn said.

The Commissioner reaffirmed his readiness to participate in the activities to mark the tenth anniversary of the Eastern partnership due to be held in Batumi.
European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn visited Georgia on 3 and 4 September to hold bilateral meetings with high-ranking officials of Georgia. He will attend the opening of the the European School for the Eastern Partnership on 4 September.
