The FINANCIAL — Georgia offers to Kazakhstan to use Georgian present and planned sea ports in the capacity of the site for construction of the grain terminal for transit of Kazakh wheat to Europe, declared Grigol Vashadze, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, on February 17.
According to him, the country offers to Kazakhstan to use capacities of such ports as Batumi, Poti and Anaklia for construction of new port facilities.
As a reminder, in September 2008, Kazakhstan canceled own plans of foundation of a new grain terminal with storing capacities of 350 thsd tonnes in the port Poti due to the military actions between Georgia and Russia.
According to Kanat Saudabaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the country needs stability and predictability, in order to provide such cooperation with Georgia.
