The FINANCIAL — A new pilot project for rural development in Lagodekhi funded under the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD) was launched in the Georgian municipality of Stepantsminda last week.
The event also included the presentation of the two other pilot projects in Borjomi and Kazbegi, and brought together members of the media who got the opportunity to learn more about strategies, methods and innovative approaches in rural development on the ground.
The event will also include an exhibition of handicrafts created by young people with special needs, according to EU Neighbourhood Info.
With €3 million in EU funding, new projects will focus on the creation of Local Action Groups with representatives from local authorities, the private sector and civil society for the elaboration and implementation of local development strategies.
