The FINANCIAL — On 16 May 2016, Georgia’s Interagency Group, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister David Dondua, paid a visit to Great Britain.
In the framework of the visit, the Interagency Group held meetings with Minister of State for Europe David Lidington, Head of Security Policy Department of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Richard Lindsay and Director of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department Michael Tatham, according to MFA of Georgia.
Talking points included NATO-Georgia relations and the security environment in the region. The Georgian delegation informed the British side on the progress Georgia has achieved in European and Euro-Atlantic integration, including, the implementation of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package as well as on the preparation of issues related to Georgia for the NATO Summit in Warsaw.
Special attention was paid to the current situation in Georgia’s occupied regions and on human rights protection.
In the frames of the visit, David Dondua met Minister of State Baroness Anelay.
