The FINANCIAL — On 23 September 2015, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Dondua met German Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Bettina Cadenbach, according to MFA Georgia.
Discussions focused on Georgia’s policy for conflict resolution, the ongoing Geneva Discussions and the role of Germany during its OSCE Chairmanship in 2016.
David Dondua brought to the attention of the Ambassador the recent developments in Georgia’s occupied regions, including the humanitarian situation across the occupation line.
The sides emphasized the importance of the Geneva International Discussions and the need to adhere to the existing format and agenda of negotiations.
The Deputy Foreign Minister underlined the role of Germany as the incoming OSCE Chair in the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Georgia.
Bettina Cadenbach reaffirmed her support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. She confirmed the German government’s interest to play an active part in achieving the resolution of the conflict in Georgia.
