The FINANCIAL — On 24 May 2016, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Davit Dondua held a meeting with Deputy State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning of the Minister of Defence of Romania Ştefan-Alexandru Tinca, according to MFA of Georgia.
The sides discussed bilateral relations between Romania and Georgia and aspects of Georgia’s integration with the European Union and NATO, as well as the visa liberalization process and the progress Georgia has achieved in the implementation of the NATO-Georgia Substantial Package. Special attention was paid to the importance of dully assessing Georgia’s progress in the integration with the Alliance as well as in achieving visa-free travel with the European Union. Discussions also focused on the difficult situation in Georgia’s occupied territories and the security situation in the region as a whole.
Ştefan-Alexandru Tinca reaffirmed the Romanian Government’s firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for its European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
