The FINANCIAL — Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Dimitry Kumsishvili held a meeting with the MDI & Associates founder and the Executive Manager, Mark Iwanowski.
Promotion of the start-ups was the main topic of the meeting which was also attended by the Chairman of the Georgia’s Innovations and Technology Agency, Irakli Kashibadze. Mark Iwanowski is a venture-investor from the Silicon Valley who will assist Georgian Government to schedule the start-up promotion program. The start-up promotion program will be implemented in the frames of the 4-point plan initiated by the Prime Minister of Georgia.
The project will be launched in the nearest future and the certain start-ups will receive the state financing in order to enable them to enter the global market. It is also planned to introduce the different start-up projects to the venture investors of the Silicon Valley, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
Mark Iwanowski is a global high-tech industry evangelist, both in a commercial as well as government spaces. Iwanowski occupied the position of Executive Manager of about 500 leading companies, including: Oracle, Honeywell, Raytheon and SAIC.
