Georgian Seamless Pipes Entered European Market

The FINANCIAL — Rustavi Metallurgical Plant, for the first time in its lifetime, exported seamless pipes to the European market under its own label.

Countries, where the pipes will be exported include Italy, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria and Hungary. First order amounted  to 2000 tones of product.

At this point, seamless pipes are exported to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. In 2017, the Rustavi Metallurgical Plant plans to export over 25 000 tons of production under its own label and even reach the USA and Russian markets.

Seamless pipes are used for the construction of the general pipelines, transferring of liquid and air substances, operation of oil and gas wells, in mechanical engineering and general technical purposes, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia,

Rustavi Metallurgical Plant seamless pipes have no analogue in the region. General Investment and Restructuring Program was elaborated by the new management of the Plant, which aims to renovate it and arrange the export of the production to the regional and global markets. The management has a gradual schedule for achieving its goals.
