The FINANCIAL — According to the Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, any attempt to put the tensions between Russia and Turkey into some positive context should be avoided.
“Tensions between Russia and Turkey are extremely unfavourable not only for Georgia but also for the region as a whole. I wish to call on every politician and media representative to avoid attempts to put any possible outcome of this tension into some positive context. Firstly, there are absolutely no real grounds to presume that this will bring any benefit to Georgia given the fact that any growth of tension in the region will only make Georgia a less attractive investment destination and secondly, it is maybe a very unethical attitude towards Turkey – a strategic partner of Georgia” – Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
