The FINANCIAL — The following issues were discussed during the human capital development coordination group meeting, which was held today at the government administration; the issues of pre-school and general education, inclusive education for everyone, higher education and the support for science, labor market analysis, employment policy, the development of vocational education, the integration of the diaspora into the educational matters and the issue of non-formal education.
The meeting was opened by the Minister of Education and Science – Mr. Aleksandre Jejelava, who expressed immense gratitude towards the donor support and their role in the ongoing reform process, according to Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
As assessed by the Minister, coordination with the donor organizations are of paramount importance, as they aid the state agencies to achieve utmost important objectives financially as well as with the qualified consultants.
“One of the pillars of the government’s four-point plan is based on the education reform, which entails designing a new system of education, creating inclusive education and many more, which are supported by our donors who are of significant importance. We try our best, to base our resolutions on the world’s best practices.” – said Mr. Aleksandre Jejelava.
The government of Georgia is holding a group themed meetings, in order to deliver a consistent information to the donor countries and organizations in conjunction with implementing an external assistance initiative in order to facilitate the mobilization of resources.
Furthermore, our international partners are evaluating the above-mentioned government activities positively.
“Our partners assess meetings of this format rather positively, and I hope today’s meeting will underline, the role of the state and our donor organizations, in the development of human capital”. – said the deputy head of the Government Administration Nino Kobakhidze.
The meetings constitute towards the continuation of the annual coordination, which was held under the leadership of the Prime Minister – Giorgi Kvirikashvili. Owing to the initiative of the Georgian Government Administration, there are six annual coordination meetings held in regards to the support of the economic growth, human capital development, the supremacy of the Georgian Legislation, social welfare and the sustainable use of resources.
Human Capital Development Coordination meeting was attended by the head of the the Economic Cooperation and Development Department of the German Embassy – Ms. Catherine Derkorn, as well as, by the representatives of other international organizations and diplomatic missions.
