The FINANCIAL — Delta started its joint venture with Virgin Atlantic Airways on Jan. 1, 2014.
At the heart of the partnership is a commitment to offering customers a greater choice of routes across the trans-Atlantic with a particular focus on routes between New York and London – the world’s most important business travel market, according to Delta.
This summer, the airlines will offer 10 flights a day between the two cities, including evening departures up to every 30 minutes from New York-JFK. During the first 12 months of the joint venture, the two airlines flew more than four million passengers between the U.S. and United Kingdom and continue to look for new opportunities.
