The FINANCIAL — Egypt's state news agency says gunmen have attack a gas pipeline in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, halting exports to neighboring Israel and Jordan, according to Today's Zaman.
Monday's attack was the second this month and the eighth on the pipeline since the popular uprising that ousted longtime Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak in February.
MENA says assailants detonated explosives along the line that transports natural gas near the town of El-Arish in northern Sinai. The blasts caused two huge fires.
