The FINANCIAL — Housing and Utilities Economy Ministry Oleksii Kucherenko is calling on Kyivans not to pay for housing at the tariffs increased from June.
He made this call in the First National TV interview on July 19.
«I dare urge Kyivans not to pay for their housing at the new tariffs,» the minister noted.
He added that, in setting new housing tariffs, Kyiv authorities violated the procedure providing for obligatory discussion of the new tariffs in each house.
The minister also called in question the expediency of including into the tariffs the cleaning of house stares and development of adjacent territory in the volume of 45% of the total tariff rate.
At the same time, Kucherenko added that the tariffs on water and electricity supply are legitimate, and the Kyivans should better pay them to avoid a cutoff.
The minister also says Kyivenerho has sufficient reserves to slow down the tariff rate growth.
As Ukrainian News reported, the Cabinet of Ministers suspended increase in utility tariffs for population and legal entities imposed by the Kyiv city state administration as of June 1.
The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv suspended validity of Kyiv municipal state administration's orders Nos. 516, 517, 518, 519 and 520 of April 29 on raising tariffs for housing utility services for population and legal entities from June 1.
The Kyiv city state administration appealed this decision at the Kyiv Appeal Court.
