The FINANCIAL — HP on September 21 introduced a holistic approach to technology integration with solution-focused services that allow customers to strategically manage deployments faster with lower risk and reduced cost.
HP Integration Services offer 10 new modeled solutions to solve the most common industry or technology-based integration challenges. Leveraging the best practices and collective knowledge gained from thousands of customer engagements, these solutions incorporate technology deployment, data migration, relocation, site planning and project management services to successfully deliver the right outcomes.
“Organizations tend to take a tactical approach to integration and deployment projects,” said Ron Silliman, principal analyst, Gartner. “Instead, adopting more strategic, solution-based thinking represents a move forward in providing value to customers in operating their IT eco-systems and optimizing IT resources.”
The new modeled solutions, highly standardized in nature, permit HP to take a best-practice approach while allowing for customer uniqueness. As a result, HP experts deliver faster, cost-effective and lower-risk technology implementations.
“To cope with the growing number of migration, consolidation, virtualization and relocation projects, technology resources are tied up managing integration requirements,” said Ellen Breen, vice president, Datacenter Services, HP. “HP Integration Services is a unique, solution-based offering that allows customers to focus on solving their business problems while HP handles the increasingly complex responsibilities of integration.”
The 10 new modeled solutions include:
Integrated Telecom Solution ensures an efficient installation in a technology or carrier-grade environment, with minimal customer disturbance. It is built to customers’ standards with the ability to make design adaptations.
Scale-out Environments Solution improves efficiency and reduces cost through scaled use of factory-based integration. It facilitates trouble-free installation of cloud, scale or compute-intensive environments.
Virtualized Blade Deployment Solution allows customers to accelerate their ability to migrate to new virtualized environments at reduced cost using fewer resources. Early life support minimizes the risks associated with operating in a new environment.
Global Standardized Deployment Solution frees resources and streamlines processes through an industrialized deployment for distributed technology environments.
Software Partner Integration Solution allows for a seamless and cost-effective integration of technology and software partners’ design reference. The solution includes factory-based configuration and testing for fast integration.
Technology Catalog Management and Delivery Solution provides customers with fast, seamless and consistent deployment at any location. Customers are able to choose the appropriate technology from a custom catalog and HP handles all aspects of the supply chain from procurement to onsite startup.
Branch Office Technology Refresh lowers total cost of ownership and increases productivity for branch office technology staff by ensuring a smooth transition and providing early life support.
Data Center Relocation Solution minimizes continuity risk during customers’ data center relocation through a single point of contact for project management. It provides location assessment, planning, relocation and data migration services tailored to specific requirements.
Data Center Technology Refresh helps customers reduce costs and streamline efficiency when managing data center technology refresh programs. It includes a range of services from site, equipment and environmental impact assessments to data migration services.
Point of Sales Technology Refresh maximizes business continuity and availability in client-facing environments. HP offers move management and tests the technology before final deployment, outside of business hours.
