The FINANCIAL — HP on March 16 expanded its Compute portfolio with new HP ProLiant Gen9 Tower servers designed to provide small businesses on a budget the right balance of performance, efficiency and manageability to drive business outcomes.
The HP Compute portfolio for small to midsize businesses (SMB) delivers simple, affordable and efficient solutions to help increase productivity, acquire and retain customers, reduce costs and keep the business running. The servers are designed to run general purpose workloads and essential applications such as IT infrastructure, collaboration, web and business applications to support current and future business needs, according to HP.
“Small businesses not only need to solve immediate business challenges, but also lay the groundwork for accelerating business growth,” said, Peter Schrady, vice president and general manager, Rack and Tower Servers, HP. “Together with HP ProLiant Gen9 servers and the services and support expertise from our channel partners, we can help small businesses enhance competitiveness and achieve better business outcomes.”
The new HP ProLiant Tower servers are cost-efficient servers for budget-conscious small businesses as well as remote or branch offices. These servers are right-sized for the workload, providing SMBs just enough processing, storage, memory and networking in a tower form factor. Additionally, embedded management capabilities with HP Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) help monitor the server health, power and thermal usage so customers can stay focused on managing and growing the business.
The new servers include:
HP ProLiant ML10 v2 – An entry-level 10 Series tower server with low acquisition cost for the budget conscious customer. With increased connectivity slots for storage and networking, this is an ideal server to run general purpose applications.
HP ProLiant ML110 Gen9 – An affordable 100 Series tower server with more memory, hard disk drives and I/O expansion for growing business IT needs. It is also optimized compute for SMB physical and virtual workloads and applications.
The HP ProLiant Tower servers are also incorporated into certain HP Just Right IT solutions for SMBs. These pre-defined solutions include HP servers, storage, networking, and services configured with proven applications from HP partners. These solutions are simple, affordable and reliable to help organizations with limited resources.
HP and HP ServiceOne partners also delivers the right support experience for SMBs with HP Foundation Care and HP Proactive Care. HP Foundation Care provides reliable and consistent support to keep IT environments up and running. HP Proactive Care provides additional level of support that helps prevent issues and provides rapid access to advanced technical experts when there is an issue.
As the SMBs compute requirements grow, the HP ProLiant Tower servers have room to accommodate additional HP Qualified Options, such as hard drives, memory, storage controllers and network adapters. These cost-effective and reliable options, tailored for HP servers, help provide better performance, reliability, and compatibility. HP Qualified Options are also integrated with many HP system management tools and can help lower operations costs.
