The FINANCIAL — Huawei, an SAP partner, on November 11 announced it will showcase the Huawei FusionSphere solution running the SAP HANA platform on Huawei hardware at the SAP TechEd conference being held Nov. 10-12 in Barcelona, in booth 7.11.
Huawei FusionSphere, an open, enterprise-level cloud operating system based on OpenStack architecture, integrates software-defined computing, storage, networking and cloud management components. It supports private, public, and hybrid clouds, and is an open and agile operating system for running enterprise software. Huawei FusionSphere can run not only business applications that have traditionally been run on premise, but also new cloud-based applications, and it can help reduce IT costs and improve efficiency and service quality, according to Huawei.
Huawei FusionSphere runs the SAP HANA platform. Since FusionSphere underpins Huawei cloud offerings, Huawei’s cloud customers can now also experience the benefits of SAP HANA.
Huawei became an SAP global technology partner in 2012 and created a high-performance solution at the time. Huawei has supported the SAP HANA platform and associated applications via a series of products including FusionServer. Currently, Huawei Appliance for SAP HANA is widely used in regions such as China, Europe, Mid-East and Africa, and has won recognition from industry-leading customers. Huawei intends to further deepen its technological development in strategic areas like cloud computing and Industry 4.0.
The SAP TechEd conference focuses on technology with an emphasis on collaboration and hands-on workshops, going beyond technical education.
