The FINANCIAL — Hyatt Hotels Corp. on November 3 said it expects overall operating performance at its hotels in the U.S. to remain strong, based on continued economic growth and positive group and transient trends, according to Nasdaq.
Further, the company it continues to expect to open 50 hotels in 2015.
For the third quarter, Hyatt reported net income attributable to the company of $25 million or $0.18 per share, compared to $32 million or $0.21 per share last year. On an adjusted basis, earnings were $42 million or $0.30 per share. On an adjusted basis, 16 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.25 per share. Analysts estimates usually exclude special items.
Revenue for the quarter was $1.05 billion, down from $1.10 billion last year. Wall Street analysts were looking for $1.08 billion.
