The FINANCIAL — Hyatt Hotels Corporation proudly announced on April 28 that Hyatt has been named a recipient of the 2015 Gallup Great Workplace Award for the fourth consecutive year. The annual award recognizes Hyatt hotels for having one of the most engaged and productive workforces in the world.
“We are honored to be recognized by Gallup for our workplace environment that encourages colleagues to reach their fullest potential – it is their passion that makes a difference in the lives of so many people each and every day,” said Robb Webb, chief human resources officer, Hyatt Hotels Corporation. “We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary individuals who bring our culture and brands to life around the world.”
The Gallup Great Workplace Award is based on rigorous workplace research. To be eligible for nomination, more than half of the collective workgroup results for an organization need a grand mean score of 4.15 or higher (out of five).
More than 70,000 Hyatt colleagues around the world participated in the 2014 survey. The results showed that they feel emotionally engaged in their workplace, appreciate the professional development opportunities and training programs, and take pride in providing authentic hospitality to guests, according to Hyatt.
Hyatt is proud to be one of only two hotel companies to be honored this year. A panel of Gallup workplace experts evaluates and assesses applicants against criteria established by a comprehensive workplace study, and Hyatt was chosen as one of the top 40 organizations because of its strong results. Winners of the 2015 Gallup Great Workplace Award will be presented with their awards at a gala during the 2015 Gallup Summit, June 2-4, 2015.
