The FINANCIAL — The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) announced on April 4 the appointment of Daniel Kok as its new General Manager of the ICC Academy.
Mr Kok comes to the ICC Academy having previously been the Managing Director of Fitch Learning APAC Operations – a global leader in financial information services. Combining both his extensive management experience and financial market expertise, Mr Kok will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the ICC Academy and the development of market-leading e-learning programmes, according to ICC.
Mr Kok said: “I am delighted to join the ICC Academy team and I look forward to this exciting new challenge. Professional education is a vital driver of competitiveness in today’s global economy and I look forward to leading the development of this groundbreaking initiative from the world business organization.”
Mr Kok holds a Master of Science degree in financial engineering from the National University of Singapore, a financial risk management certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals and a professional project management certification from the Project Management Institute. He began his career in financial markets with large global banks such as BNP Paribas, Chase, ABN Amro and Citibank. He then went on to work at Thomson Reuters where he held various leadership positions, before assuming the role of Managing Director of Fitch Learning PAC Operations in 2014.

The ICC Academy is headquartered in Singapore where Mr Kok will lead a team of Academy staff which works in conjunction with ICC’s global headquarters in Paris.
