The FINANCIAL — IDC Financial Insights on September 15 announced the 2015 FinTech Rankings Top 100 and Enterprise Top 25 Companies.
Now in its 12th year, the annual IDC FI FinTech Rankings evaluate global technology providers of hardware, software, and IT services, and tracks revenues that come from the financial services industry as well as companies whose revenues from financial services represent a significant component of spending by financial institutions. The data is then analyzed by IDC Financial Insights analysts globally to not only create meaningful rankings, but to put the information in the context of industry trends that affect both the institutions that buy technology, and the companies that provide IT solutions to the industry, according to IDC.
New this year, IDC Financial Insights formally announced the final rankings at an invitation-only reception on the eve of the 2015 FinovateFall Conference at the New York Hilton Midtown. Finovate is the only conference series focused exclusively on showcasing the best and most innovative new financial and banking technologies.
“The financial services industry is going through a momentous transformation due to the impact of digital technologies,” said K Krithivasan, President, Banking and Financial Services at Tata Consultancy Services, the number 1 firm on the 2015 IDC Financial Insights FinTech Rankings Top 100. “Technological advancements are bringing in new competition from other industries, forcing a change in business processes and blurring the line between IT and business, while increasing customer expectations. This poses new challenges but presents more opportunities as well. To respond effectively, financial institutions are focusing on delivering long-term customer value rather than just transactional efficiency.”
IDC Financial Insights’ unmatched breadth and depth of industry expertise in global financial services, coupled with more than a decade of compiling the IDC FI FinTech Rankings, is what differentiates IDC Financial Insights’ FinTech Rankings program. This keen insight helps the team at IDC Financial Insights offer client institutions – banks, capital market firms, and insurance companies – with the insight needed to drive strategic IT investment decisions.
