The FINANCIAL — InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Auteles Kalionchiz S.A. de C.V announced the opening of the Holiday Inn Monclova hotel.
This is the first Holiday Inn hotel in Coahuila and is the fifth IHG-branded hotel for the state. Other IHG-branded hotels in Coahuila include a Crowne Plaza hotel and three Holiday Inn Express hotels. The scale and diversity of the IHG family of brands means that the hotels can meet the guests’ needs whatever the occasion, according to IHG.
“We are very happy to welcome the Holiday Inn brand to the State of Coahuila and especially to the city of Monclova, one of Mexico’s key commercial, industrial and financial city centers”, said Gerardo Murray, vice president, Marketing Strategic Services, IHG, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean. “The city accounts for the highest production of steel in Mexico and Latin America – hence its nickname, “The Steel Capital” – and we look forward to growing the IHG brand family there,” he added.
Auteles Kalionchiz S.A. de C.V. has invested $10 million in the Holiday Inn Monclova hotel. The property is strategically located on Blvd. Harold R. Pape No 200, the main city avenue. Additionally, the hotel is just eight minutes away from the Industrial Zone and very close to key tourist attractions such as the Museo Biblioteca Harold R. Pape, and the Museo de Aspectos Historicos El Polvorin as well as the popular park – Parques Xochipili.
