The FINANCIAL — InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) one of the world’s leading hotel companies today announced the opening of its second property in Hermosillo – the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Hermosillo Aeropuerto, following an investment of more than $10 million by its ownership Inmuebles el Sahuaro, S.A. de C.V., according to IHG.
“We are very pleased to welcome this new property to the Holiday Inn Portfolio of Brands,” said Gerardo Murray, vice president, distribution and commercial marketing, Mexico, Latin America & Caribbean, IHG. “The hotel generated over 60 employment opportunities during construction being the main economic center for Sonora. Hermosillo is also a key investment destination for numerous industries ranging from automotive to the agricultural sector so we look forward to providing our guests a comfortable stay,” he added.
