The FINANCIAL — InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announces the opening of the new-build 188-room Holiday Inn & Suites Leon Plaza Mayor hotel. This hotel, following a more than $260 million Mexican pesos investment by the ownership group, joins three other IHG properties in the city: the Holiday Inn Leon hotel, the Holiday Inn Leon Convention Center hotel, and the Crowne Plaza Leon hotel, and marks IHG’s tenth property in the state of Guanajuato.

The hotel’s La Cava restaurant offers Mexican cuisine with a Mediterranean twist. The 152 guestrooms feature contemporary styling, comfortable queen, king-sized or two double beds, 49″ flat screen TVs, a sitting area with a lounge chair and an in-room coffee machine featuring complimentary coffee. The hotel’s 36 suites are further equipped with full kitchens, separate dining and living areas and two bathrooms. The hotel also offers IHG Rewards Club members an exclusive members-only floor.
