The FINANCIAL — InterContinental Hotels Group opened the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Phoenix North/Scottsdale. The four-story 104-room hotel added to IHG’s portfolio in the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas, according to the InterContinental Hotels Group.

The new addition to hotels in Phoenix is designed with the Holiday Inn brand family’s $1 billion global brand relaunch in mind; the largest project of its kind in hospitality history. The relaunch continues to drive increased quality and consistency across the global portfolio, according to the InterContinental Hotels Group. The hotel features a contemporary image with emphasis on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort and a redesigned logo and signage.
“We are excited to join the Holiday Inn brand family,” said Anju Desai, general manager. “Phoenix is a thriving city, and with the Scottsdale metro area nearby, there is plenty on offer whether visiting for business or vacation,” Desai added.
Just half a mile from the Musical Instrument Museum and in the Desert Ridge area of North Phoenix/Scottsdale, the 60,000 sq.-ft. property is also near the Wild Fire Golf Course. Additionally, the hotel is in proximity to several corporations.
All 104 rooms at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix North/Scottsdale are equipped with refrigerators and microwave ovens. Guests can take advantage of a variety of amenities such as a swimming pool and a meeting room that can accommodate up 32 attendees. The new hotel offers guests a comfortable, yet affordable, stay with innovative, preferred guest upgrades to ensure a pleasurable experience with amenities that include a 24-hour fitness center, complimentary high-speed Internet access and a business center with PC computers. Business travelers will find large desks with ergonomic chairs, free local phone and toll free, phones with private voicemail and complimentary USA TODAY newspapers, according to the InterContinental Hotels Group.
