The FINANCIAL — A London Business School professor has been named on a list of the 25 most influential economists shaping our understanding of the global economy today, according to London Business School.
Hélène Rey, Professor of Economics, London Business School is an expert on determinants and consequences of external trade and financial imbalances, the theory of financial crises and the organisation of the international monetary system.
The list has been compiled by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and contains only economists below the age of 45.
A number of international economists, journalists and readers of the IMF’s Finance & Development publication were consulted by IMF officials who compiled the list. The list will be published in the September issue of Finance & Development.
Professor Rey is one of only two economists based outside the United States to be ranked within this list, according to London Business School.
