The FINANCIAL — From energy policy to tariffs, standards and statistics, the EU-funded INOGATE energy programme has just published its Multi-Annual Report covering the years 2012-2014, highlighting its achievements, both on regional level and country level, in nine areas of activity.
Examples include the improvement of partner countries’ expertise in the collection and use of energy statistics; the adoption of legislation, establishment of targets and increased awareness in energy efficiency and renewable energy; the translation and adoption of international electricity and gas standards; and the significant reduction of gas losses in Central Asia, according to EU Neighbourhood Info Centre.
For each area of the areas of activity – energy policy, energy markets, energy tariffs, energy standards, security, renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy investments and energy statistics – the report shines a spotlight on the impact of INOGATE activities. A final section presents plans for 2014-2015.
