The FINANCIAL — According to the Russian customs statistics, in July-June of 2014/15 MY Russia supplied 21.8 thsd tonnes of wheat flour to Georgia, an increase of over 2 times compared with the season-13/14. Generally, last season Georgia occupied the first position in the rating of countries-importers of Russian flour, with its share of nearly 15% of the general export volumes of the commodity from the Russian Federation.
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat), in 2014/15 MY the general import volumes of wheat flour to the country totaled 24.6 thsd tonnes (up 35% compared with 2013/14 MY).
The condition and prospects of the market of grains and its by-products will become one of the key topics of the international conference Georgia Agro Forum -2015 (November 19, the conference hall ExpoGeorgia, Tbilisi).
