The FINANCIAL — According to the official statistics, in 2014/15 MY (September-August) Kazakhstan produced 289.6 thsd tonnes of crude and refined vegetable oils, a decrease of 9% or 29.7 thsd tonnes compared with the season-2013/14.
Sunflower oil formed the main share in the structure of vegetable oils production (74%), including 114.9 thsd tonnes of refined sunflower oil and 99.6 thsd tonnes of crude oil, according to APK-Inform.
Last season, the share of rapeseed oil reached 15% (44.7 thsd tonnes), cottonseed oil – 5% (13.6 thsd tonnes), and soybean oil – 4% (12.9 thsd tonnes).
