The FINANCIAL — According to the official statistics data, in 2014/15 MY Ukraine supplied the record volumes of soybeans on foreign markets – 2.42 mln tonnes, as opposed to 1.25 mln tonnes in the previous season, and 1.32 mln tonnes in 2012/13 MY.
In the reporting period, Turkey and Iran were the largest countries-importers of Ukrainian soybeans, and purchased 1.4 mln tonnes, or 58% of the general export volumes of the oilseed.
Also, Ukraine exported significant volumes of soybeans to Egypt (213.3 thsd tonnes; 9%), Greece (126.6 thsd tonnes, 5%), and Italy (124.4 thsd tonnes, 5%).
