The FINANCIAL — According to preliminary figures of the association Ukroliyaprom, in 2015/16 MY the production and export volumes of sunflower oil in Ukraine increased by 10% to 4.85 mln tonnes and 4.4 mln tonnes respectively, declared the press-service of the Association on September 5.
According to the announcement, increasing of sunflower seed harvest in the country caused the reporting growth rates of sunflower oil. The Association reminded that in 2014/15 MY Ukraine produced 4.4 mln tonnes of sunflower oil, and exported 4 mln tonnes.
Also, in 2015/16 MY Ukraine almost doubled sunflower oil exports to the European Union, and shipped 1.36 mln tonnes of the product to the region.
