The FINANCIAL — In 2015, the turnover of agricultural products between Ukraine and Israel totaled 403 mln USD. At the same time, the exports of Ukrainian goods reached 395 mln USD, an increase of 4.8% compared with the index of 2014, declared the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Oleksiy Pavlenko on March 23.
In particular, Ukraine mainly exported grains (263 mln USD), residues and waste from the food industries (58.7 mln USD), and oilseeds (41 mln USD). At the same time, Ukraine imported products at the sum of 8 mln USD: fruits, nuts and zest (2.5 mln USD), vegetables, plants and root crops (1.5 mln USD), juices (1 mln USD), according to APK-Inform.
O.Pavlenko stressed that the exports of agricultural commodities and integration of Israeli innovation technologies are the key directions of agrarian cooperation between Ukraine and Israel.
In particular, Ukraine has the excellent opportunity to increase its exports of high-quality and affordable products of the agricultural and food industries on the Israeli market, including products of the grain, dairy, meat, fat-and-oil, confectionery and sugar market segments, the Minister said.
