The FINANCIAL — The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine forecasted increasing of soybean harvest volumes in 2015 by 8.2% compared with 2014 – to 4.2 mln tonnes, declared Vladimir Topchiy, Director of the Department of crop farming and technical policy in the agro-industrial complex at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, on June 5.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in 2015 the planted areas under soybeans grew by 9.4% – to 1.96 mln ha. At the same time, there is expected a slight decline of the oilseed yield in the current season to 2.14 t/ha, against 2.16 t/ha in 2014.
In 2020, the production volumes yield of soybeans in Ukraine will grow by more than 1.5 times compared with the last year indices – to 6 mln tonnes, the planted areas under the oilseed will grow to 2.5 mln ha, the yield will total 2.4 t/ha, according to APK Inform.
As a reminder, according to APK-Inform analysts, in the current year the planted area under soybeans in Ukraine will increase by 19% compared with 2014 – to 2.15 mln ha.
