The FINANCIAL — In January-February period of 2015, the exports of commodities from Ukraine totaled 5.973 bln USD, a decrease of 33.7% compared with the same period last year. The import volumes of goods to Ukraine totaled 5.866 bln USD (down 37%). The positive balance reached 106.7 mln USD, reported the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on April 15.
In the first 2 months of 2015, the volume of Ukrainian commodities exports to the EU decreased by 33.3% compared with the same period in 2014 – to 2.13 bln USD, according to APK Inform-Agency.
According to the announcement, in January-February the commodities of vegetable origin formed 21.2% in the general structure of Ukrainian exports, fats and oils of animal and vegetable origin – 8.6%, and prepared foods – 6.4%.
Also, in the reporting period Ukrainian supplied 96.534 mln USD of commodities to the free economic zone “Crimea”, while Ukraine received Crimean commodities at the sum of 4.039 mln USD.
