The FINANCIAL — In January-October period of 2015, the turnover of food and agricultural products between Russia and Ukraine decreased in 2.2 times compared with the same period of the previous year, and totaled 678.4 mln USD in monetary terms, against 1.482 bln USD in the previous year, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on November 23, referring to data of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
In the reporting period, the exports of agricultural products from Russia to Ukraine decreased by 20.6% in monetary terms (to 410.7 mln USD), due to reduction of supplies of barley, finished products made from cereals, margarines, sugar confectioneries, etc. At the same time, in January-October Russia increased the supplies of sunflower oil, poultry meat and vegetables, according to APK-Inform.
Also, in the reporting period, the imports of Ukrainian commodities decreased in 3.6 times (to 267.7 mln USD), due to reduction of supplies of Ukrainian corn, sunflower oil and margarines, sugar confectioneries, chocolate, finished products made from cereals, poultry meat, dairy products, etc. At the same time, in January-October Ukraine increased the exports of sunflower seeds, meat of cattle and pigs to Russia.
