The FINANCIAL — In January-September of 2015, Ukraine increased its wheat exports in monetary terms to the European Union countries by 48% compared with the same period in 2014, declared the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
Also, barley exports in monetary terms increased by 17.1%, eggs – up 14.8%, poultry meat – up 12.9%.
At the same time, in the reporting period the proceeds from Ukrainian corn supplying to the EU significantly reduced by 59.3% due to some decline of the world prices. According to APK-Inform data, the shipment volumes slightly declined only – from 6.1 mln tonnes in January-October of 2014, to 5.4 mln tonnes in the same period of 2015 (down 11%).
The sale proceeds from Ukrainian sunflower oil exports to the European Union decreased by 213.1%, sunflower cake – down 128.1%, soybeans – down 70.4%, rapeseed – down 65.9%.
The share of agricultural products exports in the general structure of commodity supplies to the EU totaled 27.7%, or 2.563 bln USD. The volume of agricultural products exports to the EU in monetary terms decreased by 28.8%, compared with the first 9 months of 2014.
