The FINANCIAL — According to the official statistics data, in May 2015 Ukraine exported 147.5 thsd tonnes of soybeans, which became a new record for the reporting month, as opposed to 144.5 thsd tonnes in April 2015.
In May 2015, Ukraine supplied the largest volumes of soybeans to Turkey – 85.1 thsd tonnes. Also, Iran imported 33 thsd tonnes of the oilseed, and Syria – 10 thsd tonnes, according to APK Inform.
Generally, during 9 months (September-May) of the current MY, the Ukrainian soybean exports totaled 2.1 mln tonnes, which became the absolute record for the country.
As a reminder, in 2011/12 MY and 2012/13 MY soybean export volumes from Ukraine totaled 1.3 mln tonnes per each season, while last MY – 1.2 mln tonnes.
