The FINANCIAL — According to the recent statistics figures, for 11 months of 2017/18 MY Ukraine already exported 123.9 thsd tonnes of malt, up 16% compared with the same period last season.
Also, it should be noted that the shipment results even exceeded the figures for every complete seasons in whole previous years, according to APK-Inform.
The upward trend developed, due to beginning of malt shipments from Ukraine to Brazil, which in the current MY already imported 10.5 thsd tonnes of the Ukrainian product, and moved to the third position in the rating of countries-buyers of malt from Ukraine. In addition, Turkey and Burkina Faso significantly increased their imports to 7.6 thsd tonnes and 5.5 thsd tonnes, respectively.
At the same time, Angola, which was the leader last season, reduced its purchases in 2017/18 MY by 8.2 thsd tonnes, to 25.1 thsd tonnes. Generally, in the current season Ukraine shipped malt to 37 countries.
