The FIANNCIAL — A court in India found on May 3 the only surviving terrorist from a 2008 attack on Mumbai guilty of murder and waging war against India, national media said, according to RIA Novosti.
Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, a Pakistani citizen, will be sentenced before the end of the week. He is expected to receive the death penalty.
The court accepted the prosecution argument that the attack was conceived of in Pakistan with the assistance of military officials.
Prosecutor Ujwal Nikam said it was "classic case of state sponsored terrorism".
At least 166 people were killed during 10 coordinated attacks throughout south India's financial capital in November 2008.
