The FINANCIAL — India remains interested in Russia's Sakhalin-3 gas project and will hold talks on December 13 with Gazprom on participating in it, Indian Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Jitin Prasada said on December 13, according to RIA Novosti.
"We are interested in participation in the Sakhalin-3 project," Prasada said.
In July, Viktor Timoshilov, head of Gazprom's eastern projects, said that the company did not plan to invite foreign companies to take part in the Sakhalin-3 project.
Sakhalin-3's gas reserves are estimated at nearly 1.4 trillion cubic meters. The site's gas will be supplied to the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas transportation system.
