The FINANCIAL — The future governance of energy efficiency in Ukraine was discussed at the third EU-supported Energy Policy Talk held on 22 March 2016 in Kyiv. The event was organised in the framework of the EU-funded regional energy cooperation programme INOGATE.
It brought together major players in the country’s energy field to discuss the main provisions of the Energy Efficiency Directive for Ukraine, such as the identification of clear responsibilities and functions of relevant institutions, what steps should be taken by the government to coordinate among the different players in order to guarantee aligned governance for energy efficiency, reports INOGATE.
This is one of the last events supported by the INOGATE programme that is set to end in April 2016 after 20 years of support of energy partnership between EU and countries in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. The conference conclusions and recommendations, as well as the presentations of the speakers are available on the programme’s web-site.
