The FINANCIAL — The 8th International Black Sea NGO Forum opened at the Hotel “Holiday Inn” in Tbilisi on November 2, 2015. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Gigi Gigiadze participated in the opening session of the Forum. The event is dedicated to the development of strategic thematic and cross-cutting cooperation of the regional NGOs to support the sustainable development of the Black Sea area.
The European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy, Mr. Johannes Hahn addressed the participants of the forum with the video message, while Political Director of the MFA of Romania, Mr. Gheorghe Magheru and the Secretary General of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), Ambassador Michael B. Christides delivered welcoming messages to the guests of the forum, according to MFA of Georgia.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Gigi Gigiadze highlighted the challenges faced by the Black Sea region and underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation between the countries of the region. Mr. Gigiadze highlighted the priorities for the implementation of obligations within the Association Agreement and the Association Action Plan 2015. The Deputy Minister also emphasized that the close cooperation with the civil sector of the Black Sea countries will further strengthen the sustainable and stable development of the region.
