The FINANCIAL — A powerful blast has ripped through an Internet cafe in China's southwestern Guizhou province, killing six people and injuring 34 others, Xinhua reported on December 5, according to RIA Novosti.
The blast occurred late on December 4 in an Internet cafe in the downtown area of the city of Kaili, the news agency said, quoting the provincial public security department. Those injured have been taken to hospitals.
The building was reported to be completely ruined by the explosion, which also destroyed windows of nearby residential buildings.
The cause of the blast is being investigated, and rescuers continue working at the site.
