The FINANCIAL — Walnut cultivation practice in Georgia, in particular hazelnuts cultivation, is quite attractive market sector for investors. Thus, the Italian group Ferrero under support of the USAID, in partnership with Agri Georgia, plans to realize the program for training of specialists on cultivation of hazelnuts.
In addition, to date Georgia faces the deficit of available storing and processing capacities for hazelnuts, which is also a good signal for investors, according to APK-Inform.
The large-scale Georgian producers of nuts, such as AgriGeorgia, Anka Fea Trade, Geodemo, Georgian Products Renesance, G.N. Company and Nut Invest, will take part in the international conference Georgia Agro Forum -2015 (November 19, 2015, Tbilisi, ExpoGeorgia).
Within frames of the event, the Third Party Agricultural Projects Developer at LLC AgriGeorgia, Aleks Antoniuki will make a presentation “Investment attractiveness of the nut business in Georgia”.
Also, the Senior Agronomist-Consultant at the Georgian Hazelnut Growers Association, Revaz Shonia will speak on the following subject: “Georgian hazelnut sector: technologies, topical issues, cooperation”.
